Why Suffer from Allergies Needlessly?
An allergy is a condition of unusual sensitivity of a person to certain allergens. For example, in case of seasonal allergy causing, uncontrollable sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, or itchy eyes, it is due to an antigen-antibody reaction in the nasal mucosa. If the antigens responsible are only pollen particles then it is called seasonal allergic rhinitis, hay fever or cedar fever.
If the antigens are dust, house-dust mites’ fecal matter, fungal spores and animal dander, it is called perennial allergic rhinitis. As for dogs and cats, the most allergenic substances are protein from their skin, urine and saliva. In perennial rhinitis the nose becomes more reactive to non-specific stimuli such as cigarette smoke, petrol fumes or perfumes.
In theory of Acupuncture, allergic rhinitis is believed to be due to repeated invasions of Wind-Cold in the Lung meridian. Since the Lung system cannot disperse and descend Qi or body’s energy, local stagnation of Qi and Blood develops in the nose, leading to nasal discharge or congestion. If not treated properly, after some time, Cold turns into Heat. The Gallbladder meridians carries Heat upwards to the brain, this therefore causes a purulent yellow nasal discharge. Further, if the Spleen/Pancreas and Stomach meridians are also involved, it leads to Dampness, often seen as Damp-Heat conditions.
Acupuncture is very effective to treat the treatment of seasonal allergies. In a study published in the September 2004 issue of Allergy Magazine the researchers concluded that a combination of Chinese herbs and weekly acupuncture sessions showed promise as a treatment for relieving the symptoms of seasonal allergies.
Diagnosing an allergy using traditional Chinese medicine is far more individualized than it would be with Western medicine. Allergies are analyzed by the pattern of symptoms seen in the specific patient, and the treatment is designed to relieve these particular symptoms.
In general, the acupuncture protocol for acute seasonal allergies is usually emphasized on immediate symptom relief (branch treatment). Chronic allergy sufferers often present deficiency in Defensive-Qi systems of the Lung and Kidney (i.e., the immune system). They may require repeated treatments between allergy seasons (root treatment).
At MY PATH TO WELLNESS, we also combine NAET with regular acupuncture technique. NAET (Namburdripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques) was discovered by Dr. Devi S. Nambudripad, M.D., D.C., L.Ac. Ph.D. in November 1983 (www.naet.com). According to NAET theory, the brain views the allergic substance as a threat to the body’s well-being. It causes blockages in the acupuncture meridians, disrupting the normal flow of energy through the body’s electrical circuits. This energy blockage causes interference in communication between the brain and body via the nervous system that begins a chain of events that can develop into an allergic response.
When a very sensitive person contacts with allergens such as foods or environmental toxins, they can produce a variety of symptoms such as itching or swelling of the tissues, cough, asthmatic attacks, fatigue, joint and muscle aches, emotional reactions such as depression, or even severe anaphylaxis.
NAET is a non-invasive, drug free, natural solution to eliminate allergies of all types and intensities. NAET uses treatment procedures with acupuncture/acupressure, nutritional and kinesiological disciplines to balance the body bio-energetically.

Hello, Masako,
I wanted to let you know how things went after our last treatment. When I left your office, I had an urgent need to urinate and lots of it. Then on the ride home I felt WONDERFUL!!! I felt like the whole neck and shoulder area released, a very opening feeling. I was in euphoria! I do not recall the last time my shoulders felt this good. That night I could barely pay attention to anything my husband said because I was so happy and feeling good. Then I slept great and woke up feeling the same way. As the day progressed, I started to feel several pains mostly in my shoulder, once it felt like I had just received a shot in my left arm. So I continued the self-treatment as prescribed and after each time I felt better. I believe we are seeing some real improvement!

(Mother of 5 Years old boy with allergic symptoms such as hand tremors, leg pain and diarrhea due to eggs)
Great news! My son ate a med boiled egg on Thurs night (I over cooked it a little) and has done great! Before he ate the egg he said his legs hurt and wanted to lie down, but I didn’t know if that was psychological because he was about to test it. He said it wasn’t from the egg because he hadn’t eaten it yet, which was true. His legs hadn’t hurt since the last treatment, but no complaints since eating the egg! No hand tremors. We had scrambled eggs no salt and pepper this morning and I’ll keep you posted. He’s very excited to see you next time to share this news with you
Thanks for everything!

(Patient with seasonal allergy) Hi Masako, Mary U.
Since our last treatment on Thursday, I continued the self-treatment as instructed. On Friday, my nasal congestion completely cleared. I got my sense of smell back! It’s has been over a month, so I’m so happy. Thank you so much!!
(Food Allergy) Chocolate Is a Girl’s Best Friend. But until Masako helped me by clearing my allergy to chocolate, I could never eat chocolate! Or if I did it eat, I got sick. Now when I have a lovely cup of hot chocolate in the morning, or dive into a piece of chocolate cake, I have Jade C.
Masako to thank. She has helped me with many health problems and allergies, but I must admit, the one that makes me the most happy is chocolate!
